NEP 2020 Workshop


The Management of Little Angels Schools organised a workshop on NEP 2020 on 9th July ’22 in the school auditorium in collaboration with Oxford University Press. The main objective of this workshop was to create awareness about the newly launched National Education Policy 2020 amongst teachers and to familiarise them with the skills to help them understand its curriculum changes and shift in the pedagogical skills and its implementation for the 360-degree holistic development of the student’s community.

The session began with a welcome note and introduction of the eminent resource person Mrs. Gayatri Khanna who is a renowned name in the field of education for her expertise and experience of over 30 years in English and also the incharge for updating materials for the grades 9 and 10 CBSE & NCERT. She spoke on the new education policy and  the sea of changes that will happen across all levels of education in India. It is based on the pillars of ‘access equity, quality, affordability and accountability’. She shed light on the creation of a new structure with 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 and discussed about the redesign of report cards which include self-assessment, peer assessment and teacher assessment. Besides this, she also discussed on SAFAL, PARAKH, PISA, STEM, STEAM AIL. She also discussed about the introduction of integration of experiential learning, competency-based education, art and sports integrated education introducing 10 bagless days in an academic year. There was a question-and-answer session in which teachers expressed their concerns and raised queries which were addressed by the resource person.

Session 2 was taken up exclusively for English teachers on how best they can adopt in their teaching skills. She also focused exclusively on the nuances of evaluation and assessment in English and guided to take up the classes with different activities to make classroom teaching more effective and lively. The Academic Heads of both the schools were present throughout the sessions. Finally, the session concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Ipshita Mathematics teacher for the fruitful and informative session thanking the management and the resource person for this great day.
