National Sports Day Celebrations


“Winners never quit and quitters never win. Sports do not build character. They reveal it.”

National Sports day celebrations were held on 29th August 2022 in the school premises with great grandeur look in honour of the birth anniversary of the hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand.

The idiom “All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” True to the words for the holistic approach in moulding the futuristic students of LAS.

Sports and camaraderie of the games field have been the forte of Little Angels down the decades. The program started with a prayer by our melodious school choir to intercede to the Almighty for his great mercy and well-being of all LAS family. Later, The Founder and Chairman Shri Venu Mohan garlanded the portrait of Shri Major Dhyan Chand and was accompanied by the Principal and the Headmistress and paid rich floral tributes. Acknowledging the wonderful achievements of the sports winners of our school, The Founder and Chairman honoured all the prize winners of various competitions with gold, silver and bronze medals amidst thundering applause. On this occasion the Founder & Chairman in his valuable speech reiterated about how the sports and games are integral part of academics and also recalled with immense happiness, the role of school in shaping enthusiastic sports winners in various sports and games in State, National and International levels. He advised the young ones always to make the best use of the teachers and coaches for the perfection in their goals and accomplishments. The visionaries of the school always believe in experiential learning programmes to enhance them to the zenith of excellence and creating world class citizens in different disciplines of life. The grand attraction of day was no doubt but the various dances like fusion, classical dance, folk dance, western dance, drill, yoga asanas by energetic children of both primary and secondary classes captivating the attention of the crowd amidst great shouts and cheers. Another impressive and novel presentation by the cricket team under the guidance of the coach exhibited the hidden talents under a theme “Evolution of Cricket since 1916 to 2011” with enthralling display of cricket emotions and joyful memories. The great fun and frolic have come to an end with a vote of thanks by one of our 10th students thanking Management, Principal, Headmistress, Overall coordinator and Blue House Incharge teachers, staff, parents, contingency staff in making this day really yet another big and unforgettable day in the history of Little Angels. The program was witnessed by huge congregation of parent community.
