A few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily, in both ,body and the mind. Yoga postures, Pranayama and Meditation are effective techniques to release stress.
Meditation is relaxation and rejuvenates the body and the mind. With this aim, a workshop was conducted in the school on 14th June 2023, for the teachers of Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary classes. The workshop comprised of simple yoga asanas, breathing exercises and stretching exercises which can be easily done by the students and teachers. The teachers participated with full interest ,enthusiasm and eagerness.
The session began by seeking the blessings of the almighty by chanting OM Mantra, followed by warming up and stretching exercises and a series of balancing yoga asanas for the benefit of the students as well as for the teachers.
The session concluded with an interactive session between the Yoga Instructor Dr. N.Jayalakshmi and the teachers and the queries of the teachers were addressed satisfactorily. The session was very refreshing, reviving and relaxing for the participants. All teachers had an amazing experience and the simple asanas and mind relaxation techniques learnt during the session shall be a great tool for motivating and encouraging the students in the classrooms when needed.
