INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2022

"Yoga is a light, which once lit will never dim.

The better your practice, the brighter your flame."

Our school celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2022 with great enthusiasm and fervour to mark the 8th anniversary since its inception in 2015.

Mrs.Sarani Devi, yoga trainer and enthusiast to the core, addressed the gathering of students and teachers and enumerated the benefits of keeping oneself mentally, physically and spiritually healthy. She also demonstrated yogasanas and explained the meaning of each asana and its benefits.

Our Principal, Mrs.Visalakshi spoke on the importance of staying fit and encouraged the students to make yoga a part of their life to remain physically fit and improve concentration.

The assembly co-ordinator, staff and children attended the event.

Students presented a gyan sloka on yoga from the Bhagavad Gita and students of secondary classes along with NCC cadets performed the asanas.

It was a truly inspiring and enlightening experience stressing the relevance of yoga in daily life, especially during the present challenging covid times.
