INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY


“Yujyate anena iti Yogah”

   International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students of Little Angels School with great enthusiasm.

    To bring awareness among young minds, various classroom activities were conducted in the classrooms. Students of classes 1&2 recited poems on yoga with actions. Students of classes 3 to 7 wrote slogans and made posters highlighting the different benefits of Yoga. Students of classes 8,9 &10 designed logos that reflected the theme ‘Yoga for Health & Well-being’.

    A special programme was organised in the library of the school which started with rendition of shloka from the Bhagavad Gita, infusing a sense of serenity and spiritual calm. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the e Principal Smt.Visalakshi along with honoured guest& Yoga Instructor Smt. P. Sridevi and teachers. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Patanjali. A comprehensive orientation about what is yoga and the importance of yoga in day-to-day life was presented through a PowerPoint presentation by Charitha Sruthi of 10B & Roshitha of 9B.

 The highlight of the day was the live demonstration of Yogasanas, led by Mrs. Sridevi and enthusiastically performed by students and NCC cadets (Girls).

    The session allowed participants to practice various asanas such  as breathing exercises, experiencing the physical & mental benefits of yoga.

    Principal Smt.Viasakshi then addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. She emphasized that yoga is an excellent method to eliminate the stress among students. She motivated the students to include yoga in their daily routine which will help them to surpass the challenges of life and emerge successful.

 The programme ended  with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Rahini of 9A.

The celebrations reflected the school’s dedication to promote wellness and holistic development of the students.
