The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 15th August at our school, marking another year of India's hard-earned freedom.
The programme started with welcoming the dignitaries and the student chief guest Master Pratham Kumar Shukla, one of the toppers of the school with a formal Guard of Honour, exemplifying respect and recognition for his outstanding performance in All India Secondary School Examinations for the academic year 2023-24.
To invoke a deep sense of pride and devotion, National song was sung by our school choir which was followed by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by the dignitaries along with the student chief guest.
In the presence of gleeful gathering of the dignitaries, students, parents and all the teachers, the national flag was hoisted by the student chief guest followed by the rendition of the national anthem .
Late the student chief guest master Kumar Shukla expressed his gratitude towards our School management for the wonderful and heart-felt opportunity to hoist the National Flag. He also shared his insights and experiences which was a source of motivation for the students, encouraging them to strive for excellence.
In recognition of the outstanding performance in the All India Secondary School Examinations, 2023-24, the management of little Angels School awarded toppers with merit scholarships. Principal Smt. Visalakshi awarded certificates and the merit scholarships to master Pratham Kumar Shukla and Kumari Y. Sanjana.
The Principal Smt. Vishalakshi in her speech emphasized that the celebrations we enjoy today have come after a long and arduous struggle. She reminded everyone that many sacrificed their lives in the process of attaining freedom .She advised the students to have a clear vision and emphasized that no matter what obstacles come their way, they should strive to achieve their goals with complete devotion and dedication.
Later an article on Independence Day was presented by a student of class 10th which was followed by cultural performances that added vibrancy to the event. Students showcased their talents through patriotic songs and dance performances. A skit depicting the struggles that led to the birth of our free nation was also performed by the students of secondary classes.
The event concluded with a heart-felt vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of everyone who contributed to the success of the Independence Day celebrations. The programme ended on a high note, with a reaffirmation of the values of Freedom, Unity and Pride, encouraging all to continue contributing to the nation’s growth.
