Our school celebrated the cultural day of ‘Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat’ Programme launched by the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promotion of diverse cultural exchange and awareness.

Lohri, the harvest festival of the paired state Punjab was celebrated with traditional fervour and exuberance.

The programme kicked up with the prayer song ‘Ek Omkar’. Students read out an article about ‘Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat’ Programme and presented a conversation on Lohri celebrations.

Girls of secondary school danced on the Punjabi folklore ‘Sundar Mundriye’.

The model of Sanctum Sanctorum of a Gurudwara was set up in a room.

Students learnt the traditions and ceremony of worship. Children were also shown a video of the ceremonies of worship and Langar in Gurudwara.

Principal Smt.Visalakshi addressed the students and appreciated the initiative taken by government of India under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister which spreads the message of unity between the people of different cultures and brings them together.
