A workshop on ‘Growing up changes in girls’ was conducted for girls of classes 8^th to 10^th on 13.08.19. Dr V.Surya Prabha, M.D, D.G.O, retired General Manager, Medical and Health Services, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, conducted the session for students. The girls were made aware of their physical, emotional, hormonal and social changes during puberty. The main areas of discussion were growth spurts, acne, development, menstruation, body image and wanting more privacy and independence, Dr Surya Prabha suggested helpful ways to manage these important changes. The presentation was followed by an interactive session.
