JANDHYALA PAPAYYA SASTRY JAYANTHI AND VARALAKSHMI VRATAM CELEBRATIONS


Our school celebrated ‘JANDHYALA PAPAYYA SASTRY JAYANTHI AND VARALAKSHMIPOOJA’ in the school assembly on 04.08.2022.

Jandhyala Pappaya Sastry is popularly known as Karunasri because his writing shows compassion. Children read the contribution of the great freedom fighter and eminent Telugu writer and lyricist towards Telugu literature. Pushpa Vilapam, his famous poem, was also recited by the students.

Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity. With the hope that Goddess Varalakshmi showers blessings on this auspicious day, children sang the Lakshmi Sthotram. An article was read on the importance of Varalakshmi puja. Children highlighted the importance of the celebration in writing also, by displaying articles in the Saraswatha Parishath display board.
