TELUGU BHASHA DINOTSAVAM AND NATIONAL SPORTS DAY


Our school celebrated Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam and National Sports Day on 29th August 2022, with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam marks the birth anniversary of ‘Sri Gidugu Ramamurthy’ who championed the cause of using a comprehensible language to the common man. Sri Gidugu Ramamurthy launched a movement to simplify Telugu language and transform it into a medium of communication in schools and colleges.

Various programmes were organised by the Telugu club ‘Saraswatha Parishath’. Competitions such as recitation, story writing and quiz on ‘Mahabharata’ were conducted by the Telugu club.

As a part of the programme a special assembly was organised by the Telugu club on 29th August 2022. The beauty and importance of the Telugu language was well-presented through an article, poems and songs by the students. Children enthusiastically participated in these activities and exhibited their talents. Children rendered the melodious song ‘Maa Telugu Thalli Ki Mallepu Danda” praising the significance of Telugu language. Prizes were awarded to the winners of the competitions conducted by the Telugu Club. Principal Smt. Visalakshi recalled the poems she had learnt during her school days and advised the children to read lot of books so as to communicate in Telugu with good fluency and pronunciation.

The 29th of August is also celebrated as ‘National Sports Day’ to honour the great legendary Hockey Wizard ‘Major Dhyan Chand’. An article was presented depicting the life and contributions of Major Dhyan Chand. Principal Smt. Visalakshi in her message advised the students to participate in all games and sports to achieve holistic development in order gear up energy and stamina.
