International Yoga Day (2023-24)


“Rediscover yourself with yoga. A sense of happiness and completeness will start turning with your life”

Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram celebrated ‘International Yoga Day’ with great enthusiasm on June 21st. The programme started with lighting the lamp followed by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Shri Patanjali – the father of modern Yoga. The day is celebrated to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga and to encourage people around the world to embrace this ancient practice.

Professional Yoga trainer Mrs. Neha Rathore was invited as the guest of the day. Mrs. Neha Rathore encouraged the students to practice yoga, not only for its physical benefits but also for its ability to reduce stress, foster peace, harmony and unity among individuals and communities worldwide. She also made the students demonstrate a few yogasanas which help to manage anxiety, enhance concentration and memory and to develop, strength and flexibility.

The students took an active participation in the ‘Yoga practice session’. Headmistress Smt. Arundhati, in her message advised the students to practice yoga regularly so as to improve physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
