INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS


Independence Day Celebrations (2023-24)

“May the sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy, more lovely, than this our country!”-Sardar Bhagat Singh

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated in our school on 15th August with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

The school campus was beautifully decorated with flags and balloons to commemorate the day.

P.Vasundhara Lakshmi, class-10 (2022-23) AISSE school topper was invited as the Chief Guest of the programme. The Chief Guest, Director, Principal and Headmistress of the school were welcomed with flowers. To embark this auspicious occasion, National song was sung by our school choir which was followed by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by the student Chief Guest and all the dignitaries and remembering his contribution in the struggle of Independence of India.

In the presence of a gleeful gathering of the Management, students, parents and all the teachers, the National flag was hoisted by the student Chief Guest. As soon as the flag was hoisted, everyone sang the National Anthem.

Later, an article on Independence Day  was presented by a student of class 10. The student Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech and expressed her feelings for getting this opportunity to hoist the National Flag .

The Director also addressed the students with his inspiring words. He stressed on the values of unity, personality development and character formation as the chief aim of the students. Following the speech, there were Hindi and Telugu patriotic songs, Monologues of freedom fighters by the students of secondary classes and a patriotic dance performance. The students participated enthusiastically in all the cultural programmes and made the event a successful one.
