CHALO CHALEIN -WALKATHON

The members of the Vatsalya Club along with the teachers took part in the “Chalo Chalein” Walkathon-a walk with and for special friends on 25th November 2023. The primary objective of this unique program is to foster dignity, respect and inclusion of children with special needs within the society.       

             The Walkathon was organised by ‘Arunodaya Special School’, Steel Plant Township.17 students and 2 teachers participated in the Walkathon. It was inaugurated by Mrs Nupur Bhatt, President of Arunodaya Special School, Jyothi Bal Vihar and Visteel Mahila Samiti. The students of Chaitanya School, Delhi Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and DePaul School of Ukkunagaram also participated in the Walkathon.

       The students enthusiastically walked with slogans like “Chalo Chalein saath chalein” (Lets walk together) and “May we have your attention, we want inclusion”. The walkathon started from Arunodaya School to Sector 1 and then back to school. A memento for active participation in the Walkathon was awarded to the schools and certificates were also awarded to all the students for their enthusiastic presence in the Walkathon.
