The campus of Little Angels school was filled with joy and laughter as the students & teachers came together to celebrate children's Day. The celebration was organised to honour the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, whose deep love for children continues to inspire generations.
The programme commenced with an auspicious sloka followed by the National song setting a serene and patriotic love for the day. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by the Directors Shri. Kranti Kiran sir, Smt. Swati madam and overall coordinators.
The stage came alive with a series of captivating cultural performances. The tiny - tots of kindergarten charmed the audience with a delightful dance titled “we are dreamers”. This was followed by a melodious song in Hindi, that resonated with the spirit of childhood. The students of classes 1 to 3 showcased their talent through a vibrant “Rainbow Dance” filling the stage with the colour and energy. The secondary girls presented a meaningful skit on childhood titled “Bachpan”. The skit beautifully portrayed the innocence and joy of childhood. The secondary boys presented a dynamic fusion dance adding an energetic flavour to the celebration.
Director Shri. Kranti Kiran sir address the students with heartfelt words of encouragement and warmth. In his message the director highlighted the importance of nurturing curiosity and compassion among children.
As a part of children's Day celebrations, a series of creative and engaging classroom activities were conducted for classes 1 to 10 on 13th of November. The students of classes 1 & 2 drew and coloured “What makes them happy”- reflecting the simple Joys of childhood. The students enthusiastically drew and coloured what they loved most about that school environment. The students of the middle school created thoughtful and inspiring colleges on their “Dream Goals”. The senior students of classes 9 & 10 designed impactful posters on the theme “Children are the roots of a better world”.
These classroom activities are not only added colour and cheer to the Children's Day celebrations but also gave the students a platform to express their happiness, dreams and ideas with confidence.
The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.
