‘Human Rights Day’ is celebrated on 7th December to commemorate the Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) which was adopted by U.N.General Assembly on 10th December, 1948.
As a part of the celebrations a special assembly was conducted by highlighting the importance of Human Rights in the society through an article presented by the students.
An overall description on political, civil, economic, social & cultural rights which together constitute more than 60 human rights enlightened the students & helped them to know about their human rights.
A debate competition on the subject ‘Does Democracy Promote Human Rights?' for the students of secondary classes which enabled them to know about the importance of Human Rights & how they will be influenced in a Democracy.
