80th Independence Day Celebrations
“Freedom is not merely a gift; it is a responsibility to uphold the values of our nation.”
The Independence Day celebrations were held at Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram, on 15/08/2026 with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The programme was proudly organized by Blue House.
The programme began with the welcome of the dignitaries and the Student Chief Guest, L. Rahini, AISSE topper of the academic year 2025–26. Rosebuds were presented to the dignitaries as a token of respect. The programme continued with the National Song, followed by floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Student Chief Guest, L. Rahini, then hoisted the National Flag in the presence of the dignitaries. The ceremony was followed by the National Anthem, which was sung with great respect and patriotism. Student Chief Guest L. Rahini addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message with the students.
As a token of appreciation, cash awards were presented to the toppers of AISSE examinations 2025-26. Our respected Principal, Mrs. Visalakshi, then addressed the gathering and conveyed her Independence Day wishes. She encouraged the students to uphold the values of discipline, responsibility, unity, and patriotism.
The cultural programme began with an English patriotic song by the school choir, followed by a Class 10 students’ presentation on ‘India Then & Now’ and a Hindi patriotic song. The Student Council presented ‘Our Duties as Citizens,’ highlighting responsibility, unity, discipline, and service to the nation. The programme also featured a beautiful Patriotic Dance Drama. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, classroom activities were conducted on 14/08/2026 for students of Classes 1 to 10. The activities included Draw and Colour the National Flag, Slogan Writing and Poster Making on the theme ‘Vande Mataram.’ The students participated in the activities with great enthusiasm and creativity.
The entire celebration was a memorable and meaningful occasion that reflected patriotism, unity, discipline, responsibility and pride in our nation. The Independence Day celebrations were a grand success.
