The members of Vatsalya Club celebrated the birth anniversary of Mother Teresa and Formation Day of Vatsalya Club on 25th August, 26th being Sunday.

Students lighted candles in front of portrait of Mother Teresa and told inspiring quotes by Mother Teresa.

Students also visited Mother Teresa old-age home Gnanapuram to mark the occasion. To break the monotony of their lives they presented songs and a dance for them. They also spoke to the inmates who welcomed them with their smiles. Students learnt that oldage is the second childhood and is a time when one needs love and care of their near and dear.

Members of Vatsalya Club also donated provisions and clothes given by students and staff of the school.

Along with Mother Teresa’s birthday celebrations, the school also celebrated Raksha Bandhan. The programme began by singing a special song on Raksha Bandhan by school choir. The students of primary classes presented a dance drama on the concept of ‘Hindu Muslim Bhai Bhai’.
