DOCTORS’ DAY


National Doctors’ Day was celebrated on 1st July  all across India to honour  of the legendary physician and the second chief minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy who was honoured with the country’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna.

In Little Angels School, 1st July was observed as the Doctors’ day to express gratitude and acknowledge the  dedication and commitment of the doctors towards our society. The celebrations of the Doctors’ day is an attempt to emphasis on the value of doctors in our lives and to offer them our respect by commemorating one of their greatest representatives and a tribute to all the doctors for their relentless and untiring effort.

As a part of Doctors’ day celebrations, various programs were conducted in our school to empower children in their holistic development.

It is a regular practice in Little Angels school to invite and felicitate eminent doctors every year on Doctor’s day in recognitions of their relentless services to the society.

On this occasion, Founder and Chairman of Little Angels school, Sri M.Venumohan felicitated Prof. Dr. K.Venkateswarlu M.D DM ( Neuro Physian) emeritus Professor of Neurology, Andhra  Medical college, Visakhapatnam. His experiential talk on neurological disorders and interaction with students  enlightened the young minds who are aspiring to become doctors. Founder and Chairman Sri M.Venumohan inspired the medical aspirants through his motivational speech.

To create awareness about neurological disorders, a programme on Health Arena was conducted by the students of classes 8th, 9th and 10 where some the diseases like dyslexia, epilepsy, dementia, cerebral palsy etc were explained by them. Apart from these, stress was laid on nutritional value for  adolescence, importance of vaccination and home remedies for general ailments.

To empower all round development of the child, Doctors’ day was observed in class assembly also where children participated enthusiastically on the following topics like

  1. Contribution of Indian Scientists in the field of Medicine.
  2. Role play on first aid procedures.
  3. Specialised branches of medicine and
  4. Various systems of medicine like Homeopathy, Allopathy, Ayurveda.
  5. Qualities of a good doctor etc
