VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATIONS
“Think Green, Go Green, Live Green”
As a part of Vanmahotsav celebrations students of NGC planned a two day programme.
Day 1 : 12.07.2019
To rescue neglected planters and flower beds as well as civic spaces to which the planting plan has long been lost, seed bombs is the best possible way to make a difference.
It was an ideal opportunity to instill personal and social responsibility in our students towards safeguarding trees. The focus of these celebrations is towards forming a personal connect between the students and trees through a process of experience, reflection and creation. Seed balls were prepared by students of NGC.
Day 2 : 13.07.2019
Seed bombing at Ramnarayanam was done to spread flowers in bare spots, creating pockets of beauty and habitats for pollinators.
Students of class 10 presented a song on the significance of trees.
S.V.S. Mitra of class 10 gave a speech on importance of trees.
Role play on Chipko movement was also performed.
This event helped to bring awareness about the green cover around us. Students got to learn a lot and will always cherish the memories of this important occasion.
