Teachers' Day Celebrations
“ A teacher is like a candle who spends whole life in giving lights to many students”
The great enthusiasm was evident in the joyful premises of Little Angels School on Teachers’ Day 5th September 2022 and dedicated in marking the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President and a great scholar. The day commenced with a special assembly program conducted by the teachers. It started with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait and offering rich floral tributes to the great educationalist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by our Director Smt. Swathi, Principal Nafeesa Begum, Headmistress Indu Malini, Overall coordinators and House coordinators.
The morning assembly programme was hosted by the Green House teachers and it comprised of prayer, articles, speeches on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and role of teachers in shaping the society. Congratulating the great efforts of every teacher of Little Angels School, the Director Smt. Swathi applauded and the message of Our Founder and Chairman Shri. M.Venumohan was read out acknowledging the wonderful efforts of the staff in taking the school to the next level and also reminded the great responsibilities of the teachers. The Principal and Headmistress also greeted the teachers on this great occasion.
After the assembly, the senior students of school shouldered the responsibilities as student teachers for the day in taking up the classes with great spirit, imbibing all these long years of learning journey made them so confident in facing the children of classes 1st to 9th with ease and perfection.
In Little Angels School, it is a tradition to felicitate the teachers who have contributed long years of service to the institution. Last two years, due to the pandemic felicitation ceremony could not be organised. Therefore, this year, Teacher’s Felicitation ceremony was organised on two days as the felicitations were to be done for previous two years and current year. It’s truly an honour and befitting that the most loved teachers of the Little Angels School be thanked for their yeoman service for the institution on the birth anniversary of the most distinguished teacher in the history of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
On 10th September, nearly 25 teachers have been felicitated for their outstanding service for the tenure of 20 years, 15 years and 10 years in the midst of great showers of words from their dearest colleagues. It was really an incredible moment for the honoured teachers. The founder and chairman Shri M. Venumohan felicitated the esteemed senior family members. Truly this great institute privileged to have great committed faculty who are embodiments of the concept of ‘Guru’ and it is one of the reasons that LAS has achieved the stature it holds today in the city. Later, all the winners of the various competitions conducted on the occasion of Teachers’ Day were awarded with special gifts. All the felicitated teachers shared their strong bond with the founders and with the teaching fraternity and wished that they continue to carry the torch of LAS legacy and knowledge for many more years to come. The founder and chairman Shri M.Venumohan congratulated and thanked from the bottom of his heart all the felicitated teachers for their stupendous work and heartful service for the organization. He reiterated again to continue to work with heart for the best recognition. Sir in his speech thanked the Principal, Headmistress and all teachers for the great work. The programme came to an end with the distribution of gifts to kindergarten, secondary and primary teachers and admin staff by the Principal and Headmistress which was arranged by the Management.
On 21st September, the second day of felicitation was organised in Hotel Daspalla. The programme commenced with a prayer followed by a speech by the Green House Coordinator and Principal Nafeesa Begum where she presented the life and works of both the Founders. On this day, the school Founder and Chairman Shri. M. Venumohan and Founder Director Smt. M. Ranganayaki were felicitated by the teaching and admin staff for inspiring everyone in the institution to do a splendid job and for their continuous support and guidance to everyone all these years and specially during the difficult days of pandemic. The young directors of Little Angels School Shri. Kranti Kiran and Smt. Swati also graced the event.
Later, 13 teachers including academic heads were felicitated who have completed 35 years,30 years and 25 years of service in the institution. Standing tall in the list of the felicitated is Mrs. N.V.S Laxmi Rajyam who has completed 35 years. The most experienced teachers of Little Angels School shared anecdotes from their journey in Little Angels School and thanked the management of the school for recognizing and honoring the work of the teachers. Chairman Sir congratulated all the felicitated teachers in his speech and wished that the young generation of teachers imbibe the work done by the senior teachers.
The programme became energetic with the live music programme where a medley of old and new songs was presented by Mr. Abid Ali and was enjoyed by everyone present in the hall. The Management also hosted a sumptuous lunch for the teachers. This year, the maximum number of felicitations were done and the programme was well coordinated and arranged by the Green House teachers.
