Heritage Quiz Competition 2023
On 22nd August 2023, an exhilarating Heritage Quiz Competition was conducted by INTACH at LITTLE ANGELS SCHOOL, MVP Colony Visakhapatnam. The event aimed to test the participants' knowledge of history, culture, and heritage from various eras and civilizations. The competition was organized with the objective of promoting awareness and appreciation for our rich cultural heritage among the students.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from various part of the city representing different classes and age groups who demonstrated their keen interest and passion for heritage-related topics.
The event was conducted by Dr. B. Surendra Kumar Co-Convenor, INTACH, Vizag.
55 teams from 21 schools participated in the competition for the preliminary round, which was a written test round. 4 teams were selected for the final round. Little Angels School MVP Colony, Little Angels School Ukkunagaram, Sri Prakash School Pendurthi Branch, and Sri Sathya Sai School MVP colony qualified for the final round.
The quiz consisted of several rounds, including multiple-choice questions, visual identification, and audio-visual segments. The questions covered a wide range of topics, spanning from ancient civilizations to modern heritage landmarks. The participants showcased their in-depth knowledge and quick thinking throughout the event, making it an engaging and educational experience for everyone involved. After a series of intense rounds, Little Angels MVP Colony emerged as the winners. Naitik Pawar and Kirtanya of 9 A of Little Angels School secured the first position and got qualified for the State level. The team members exhibited remarkable teamwork, comprehensive knowledge, and quick reflexes. Their dedication to learning about heritage and their commitment to excellence truly paid off.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by the Director of the host school Little Angels Shri M. Kranti Kiran who appreciated the efforts of all the participants and congratulated the winning team for their outstanding performance. The winning team was awarded with certificate and a book on Indian Heritage.
The Heritage Quiz Competition not only showcased the academic prowess of the students but also instilled a sense of pride and curiosity for cultural heritage among all participants. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the diverse and fascinating history of our world.
