School Excursion to Delhi, Agra Chandigarh and Amritsar


Pictures fade,

Tears dry

 But memories last forever

One such exquisite experience is an excursion. This year it was organised to Delhi, Agra Chandigarh and Amritsar during the Dussehra Vacation. A total of 66 students were accompanied by the Principal Nafeesa Begum the team leader and 4 teachers.

Students were filled with patriotism at Wagah border when they witnessed the Beating Retreat Ceremony.  It was a matter of Pride for Little Angels.  When we were given the first chance to carry our National Flag before the ceremony commenced. It was indeed a spectacular event. The Rock garden at Chandigarh was a marvel of  Nek Chand Saini’S imagination and creativity which left the students spellbound.

The next visit was to Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh which is the largest reservoir stretching across 3km. This  rainfed Lake has the longest channel for rowing and yachting in Asia

Students bowed down their heads in respect to all martyrs at Jallianwala Bagh.  The Golden temple captivated the students. The Sahaj Anand water show at Akshardham in New Delhi was a breathtaking experience.  Students were made to be seated on the traditional steps and enjoyed the mesmerising laser show.

The lady of determination and the first woman Prime Minister of India was Smt. Indira Gandhi, a visit to the Indira Gandhi Memorial museum gave an insight into the lifestyle of the leader.

Students paid their tributes to the Father of the Nation at Raj Ghat and recollected his unique weapon- Satyagraha.

Students lauded the magnificent construction of the Mughals and were awestruck with the pompous lifestyle of Mughals at Agra Fort.The most astounding experience was the visit to the most beautiful architectural marvel the Taj Mahal.

The trip enabled the students to learn some life skills like time management and being accommodative in every situation.Students also learnt how to bargain when they went out shopping at Karol Bagh. Luxurious accommodation and scrumptious food were provided throughout the trip. It was indeed a memorable experience for the young ones.
