International Yoga Day Celebrations


Little Angels School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The programme aimed to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle and create awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.

Event Proceedings

The celebration commenced in the morning with a mass yoga session, which was the highlight of the programme. Under the guidance of the yoga instructor, participants performed a series of warm-up exercises followed by the practice of various foundational yoga asanas prescribed under the AYUSH Common Yoga Protocol.

The yoga session included:

Standing Postures: Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, and Padahastasana. Sitting and Lying Postures: Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Shashankasana, Makarasana, and Shavasana. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): Kapalbhati, Nadi Shodhana, and Bhramari to improve lung capacity, promote relaxation, and enhance mental clarity. Meditation: A guided meditation session to improve concentration, focus, and inner calm.

The programme concluded with a brief address by the Principal, Mrs. Indu Malini, who emphasized the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being, reducing stress, enhancing concentration, and fostering discipline among students. She also encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to lead a healthy, balanced, and mindful life.

The celebration concluded on a positive note, inspiring students and staff to embrace yoga as an integral part of their daily lives and reaffirming the school's commitment to promoting holistic health and well-being.
