National Sports Day Celebration


“ Participation in sports increases the spirit of competition”

Little Angels Celebrated the National  Sports day on 29th August, 2018 in a grand manner. It was a series of celebration for 3 days.

On 27th August, students were made to watch a movie on Dhoni, the most famous cricketer among the youngsters, it was to inspire them and develop passion towards the game.

On 28th August, fun games were  conducted like, Shooting the Wicket  Lemon and spoon, Spot skipping and throwing the ball in the basket which made all children enjoy to the fullest.

On 29th August an exhibition on Health and Physical Education was  inaugurated by Secretary & Correspondent. Students prepared models of  various courts like, Volleyball, Basketball, Throw ball, Athletics, Shuttle Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Cricket ground etc.. They also displayed food pyramid emphasizing the nutrition needed by sports person. Importance of various Yoga Asanas was explained.  The exhibition was viewed by all the students of classes 8th to 10th.

On the same day from 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm various programs were conducted. The program started by welcome speech by P.Lohitha- 10E   Sports captain girls.  Secretary & Correspondent. Shri M.Venumohan has lighted the lamp and paid his floral tributes to Major Dhyanchand on whose honour National Sports Day is celebrated. Children enthralled the audience with a song on sports along with display of their talent covering all sports and games played by them.Yoga students performed pyramids with yoga asanas. Programme ended with Prize distribution of  ‘Fun games winners’ held on 28th August. All the students of Little Angels enjoyed the day and had enthralling experience on the National Sports Day.
