Keep challenging yourself to … Think better, Do better and Be better
Little Angels School has added another page in the annals of its illustrious history by throwing its gates open to the young players of Table Tennis of the city. A two day Little Angels Cup Tournament was conducted in the school premises on 16th and 17th of February, in association with the Visakhapatnam District Table Tennis Association(VDTTA). The maiden effort was greeted with enthusiasm and as many as 20 schools participated. The individual participants were more than 300, a record of its own. Matches were conducted for boys and girls in mini cadet, cadet, sub juniors and juniors categories. In the inaugural function, the Founder Chairman of the school, Sri M.Venumohan declared the tournament open in the presence of VDTTA Secretary, Sri D.V.S.Y. Sharma. The participants competed with enthusiasm to outshine one another. The matches were conducted fairly with 5 umpires and 3 referees monitoring them. In the Valedictory function organized on 17th February, the prizes were given away to the winners. Sri. J.K.Nayak, President and Sri D.V.S.Y. Sharma, Secretary of VDTTA graced the occasion. The Founder Chairman, Sri M.Venumohan advised the parents to recognize the kinesthetic skills of their children and suggested the students to start early to practice a game. The Director, Smt M.Ranganayaki congratulated all the winners.
The students of Little Angels, who participated at the National level, were felicitated by the Management on the occasion. Master Dutta Avinash finds a special mention among the felicitated students as he is selected for the intensive training for one week at Japan by an Olympian.
