“Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships”
Little Angels conducted Sports Week celebrations from 24th August to 29th August 2019 to commemorate the birthday celebrations of Sri. Dyan Chand to inculcate the spirit of Sportsmen ship and build healthy competition among students.
Games mean fun for students, so fun games were conducted for Kindergarten and Primary students like Frog jump, Throwing the ball into the basket, balancing the book, Lemon and Spoon and Kangaroo jump which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
Confidence has no competition which have been proved by the Secondary students when friendly matches were conducted among them. They were Basketball, Volley ball and Throw ball.
The movie ‘Dangal’ was shown to the students to develop the fighting spirit to become a successful sports person.
An exhibition of various Sports and Games was organised by the students. They explained rules and regulations to the visitors. A demonstration on fitness assessment programme was also a part of Sports Week celebrations.
On 29th August 2019, Valedictory function was organised, the Founder & Chairman Shri M.Venu Mohan, garlanded the portrait of Shri Dyan Chand.Kum.DevakiNandana of class 4, a Chess player was felicitated as she bagged a Silver medal in the Nationals at Ahmedabad. Speaking on the occasion the Founder & Chairman congratulated Kum.DevakiNandana on her success and he announced a gift of Rs.5000/- to encourage more and more students to participate in the Sports. He added that the management always encourages students to be active participants in various Sports & Games conducted in the School. Many students who are playing regularly have expressed their gratitude to the management for providing the best facilities and the best coaches and PETs to encourage sports and games.
