Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam is celebrated on 29th August ever year, to mark the birth anniversary of Shri Gidugu Rammmurthy Pantulu, who is well known as “Father of Telugu Revolution”. The students of classes 1 to 10 and the teachers of Tarangini Club celebrated “Telugu Bhasha Dinotdsavam” very gloriously in school auditiorium on 29th August 2023.
The Chief Guest of this special occasion, The Founder and Chairman Sri M. VENUMOHAN, lighted the lamp and offered floral tributes to the Telugu thalli. The program began with “Maa Telugu Thalli ki Malle Pu Danda” song by the school choir.
Speaking on this occasion, the Founder and Chairman, highlighted the significance of Telugu language and also about the role of school in inculcating the learning of Telugu among students. He advised the students to adopt multi lingualism. He also lauded the efforts of the Telugu Teachers in encouraging the students through the Tarangini club. The Principal, Vice-Principal, Headmistress also graced this occasion and extended their best wishes to teachers and students.
As a part of cultural activities, students of Primary classes grabbed the hearts of all with their poem recitation, dressed in colourful costumes to represent the different profession with their signature dialogues and also stated the supremacy of Telugu Thalli.
The students of middle school mesmerized the audience with the role plays on mythological characters from Ramayana and Mahabharata and social activists such as Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, Dr B. R. Ambedkar etc., their dialogue delivery was highly applauded by audience.
Students of class 10 narrated the story of “Bhakta Prahlada” in a melodious way, which also captivated the hearts of audience. An article was read by students on Shri Gidugu Rammurthy Pantulu and also on the importance of Telugu as Mathrubhasha. A graceful group dance was presented by the girls of secondary school. Later prizes were distributed to all the winners of various competitions conducted by Tarangini club for the academic year 2023-24.
The programme of “Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam” of Tarangini Club brought out the skills and capabilities of all students about the ethnicity of Telugu language and also about the great deeds of Shri Gidugu Rammurthy Pantulu. The entire programme was a grand success which was entertaining and informative.
