Educational Programme for Teachers on Fostering Inclusive Classroom: Embracing Diversity by CII Ind

An educational programme was conducted for all teachers by Dr. Usha P. an active member of the Indian Women Network for Andhra Pradesh and by Dr. Vasudha T. a consultant in the field of social sustainability.
It was an engrossing session for the teachers who build the future leaders and as to how they play a vital role in Inspiring, Encouraging, Engaging, Empowering and Aspiring students etc.
The session emphasised on how the stereotypes are developed in the society which leads to bias and there are impediments for developing equity, equality and empowerment. The session highlighted on the inclusive methods to be implemented in a diverse classroom.
The session left a mark on the teachers by asking them to be curious, accepting failure and to acknowledge that there are different circumstances or starting points.
The important takeaway from the session was to remember two things:
- It doesn’t matter which gender, generation, abilities, preferences etc. only starting lines are to be redrawn.
