Eco-friendly Vinayaka Chavithi Celebrations 2025

On 26th August 2025, Little Angels School celebrated Eco-friendly Vinayaka Chavithi with devotion, joy and a strong commitment to protecting our environment. The event was thoughtfully organized by the Eco Club students of Classes 6 to 10, under the guidance of their teachers.

The celebrations began with a melodious prayer by the School Choir, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha – the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom, prosperity and new beginnings. This was followed by a traditional puja using an eco-friendly clay idol, natural flowers, banana leaves and biodegradable materials, reinforcing the theme of sustainable celebration.

An enlightening article on the importance of celebrating Vinayaka Chavithi in an eco-friendly way was presented, spreading awareness about the harmful effects of Plaster of Paris idols, chemical paints and plastics on the environment and encouraged everyone to adopt eco-conscious practices to preserve nature.

A special devotional song dedicated to Lord Ganesha filled the atmosphere with devotion and joy. The significance of Patri Puja was also explained, deepening students’ understanding of the rituals and traditions associated with the festival.

The highlight of the programme was the gracious presence of our Director, Shri Kranti Kiran, Principal, Mrs. Indu Malini and Headmistress, Mrs. Rama Devi, who participated in the puja and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in promoting eco-friendly practices.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone’s efforts. The celebration turned out to be not only a spiritual and cultural experience but also a valuable lesson on preserving the environment while upholding traditions.

At Little Angels School, we believe in nurturing values that help our students grow into responsible citizens who celebrate festivals with faith, culture and care for nature.
