The National Green Corps and the Science Club conducted a series of programs as a part of Van Mahotsav celebrations.
2nd July and 3rd July 2018:
The students of the primary wing showcased their creativity by making masks related to plants and environment. Students of the secondary wing made placards on the theme “Connecting people to nature” to raise awareness towards the need for environment sustainability.
4th July 2018:
An awareness programme on the topic “Wet and Dry waste Management” was conducted by eminent Nutritionist Mrs. Usha Gajapathi Raju, addressing the litter management committee of Classes 6th to 10th.
The main motto of this programme was to spread awareness among the young minds to become responsible citizens and to protect our environment from being destroyed.
Simultaneously, slogan writing and poster making activities were conducted for the students of classes 1st to 5th.
5th July 2018 :
Poster making event was conducted for classes 8th to 10th on the theme “Think green, Live green” to raise awareness among students regarding need for planting trees, to reduce the effects of Pollution and Global warming.
A demonstrative programme on the topic ‘Terrace gardening‘ was taken up by Mrs. Usha Gajapathi Raju wherein she explain the various steps to be followed and practically displayed it. The Students were fascinated to see the various organic vegetables and fruits grown at her home.
On this occasion the Management felicitated Mrs. Usha Gajapathi Raju for her selfless service towards the society.
