Telugu Club Saraswatha Parishath celebrated Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam on 29th of August commemorating the birth anniversary of Sri Gidugu Venkata Rama Murthy who is known as the grandfather of colloquial Telugu language movement.

Children recalled the remarkable contributions of Rama Murthy Panthulu to Telugu Literature through recitation, poetry writing and essay writing competition.

Children presented a skit on Ashtadiggajas – the name given to the eight Telugu poets in the court of Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya. During his reign Telugu literature and culture reached its zenith.

Students also rendered a melodious song and recited poems.

National Sports Day is celebrated on 29th August in memory of Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. An article was read out about his life and achievements.

Principal Smt P.Visalakshi addressed the children and told them about the importance of Telugu language. She said it is the responsibility of Telugu people to protect and safeguard the telugu language.
