The occasion of Vanamahotsava was celebrated in the school, as a part of National Tree Plantation week and a move towards preservation of mother nature.

Vanamahotsava was organized in the school premises by the teachers of Little Greens Club and various activities were conducted for the students for 3 days.

On 11.07.2022, a tree plantation event was conducted, wherein Little Greens Club members planted saplings in clay pots in every class room and were assigned the duty of keeping the plant in the place with adequate sunlight every week. The class monitors were given the duty to water the plant. Litter management committee of the class would take care of the plant and would see to that no water is stagnant around the plant.

On 12.07.2022, the students from classes 1st to 10th donated medicinal plants for the expansion and development of the school’s medicinal garden.

On 13.07.2022, Poster making and poetry writing competitions were conducted for the students of classes 6th to 10th. Students participated enthusiastically.

These three days programme helped students to learn the importance of preserving the environment and their duty to protect the same.

The Principal Smt. P. S. Visalakshi and Head Mistress Smt. T. Arundathi took part in the programme and rendered their guidance to organize the programme successfully.
