‘The science of today is the technology of tomorrow. Explore the wonders; it’s National Science Day!’
National Science Day was celebrated in the school on 28th February,2024 to honor the discovery of the Raman effect by Sir C. V. Raman, the Indian Physicist and Nobel Prize winner. Sir C. V. Raman’s contributions to science are truly remarkable.
The programme began by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Sir C. V. Raman, followed by administering a special pledge. An article was presented to mark the importance of the day and students depicted the disadvantages of single use plastic through a skit on ‘Say No to Plastic’.
Principal Smt. Visalakshi madam appreciated the students and teachers of Little Greens & Science club for putting up a wonderful show. She advised the students to reduce the usage of plastic and also encouraged them to take measures in creating awareness among the public to reduce the usage of plastic. She gave an idea of making cloth bags & newspaper bags at home during holidays which helps them to use their time productively.
Science Day would be the best day to encourage aspiring innovators to exhibit their talent through their small science projects.
Students prepared various models and exhibited in their classrooms. They were very enthusiastic to showcase their models and explain them in an innovative manner.
The following are the class-wise list of projects exhibited for science exhibition as a part of National Science Day 2023-24.
