NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY


 

 

“Mathematics is the gate and the key to science.”

 National Mathematics Day was celebrated in Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram on December 21, 2024, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. There were various programmes arranged in the school assembly.

A special pledge on mathematics was read with the promise to practice Maths every day.

A conversation was presented by the students highlighting the importance of National Mathematics Day and the achievements of Srinivasa Ramanujan. A combo dance was presented by the girls. The different types of angles like acute angle, right angle and straight angle were shown in classical dance postures. The types of parallel lines and intersecting lines were also depicted in the form of different mudras. Another dance on Mission Mangalam was a presented.

The principal gave her valuable message on the occasion.

 After the assembly program, a Maths and Science exhibition was organised for the students. Children from classes 1 to 9 presented their exhibits in the form of projects and models. They also explained them very well. A fun zone based on different memory games was also organised for the children.

 Children enjoyed the games and it was a day filled with fun and frolic.

  “Without mathematics there is nothing you can do. Everything around you is numbers.”
