CAREER COUNSELLING

“Doctors are the warriors in white coats fighting for life with science and heart.”

Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram, conducted a Career Counselling programme with a Paediatrician Dr. S. A. V. S Raju. K. on 19.7.2025.

It was an informative session with all the students of classes 8,9,10 especially for those who are interested in healthcare, medicine or science. Dr. Raju shared important information like the competitive examinations which the children should attempt to become a doctor and the career options in the medical fields like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, Nursing etc. He also discussed regarding specialization in medical field-like Surgeon, Psychiatrist, Physiotherapist etc.

In order to pursue medicine, children should improve upon their academic skills specially in science subjects, communication skills and logical thinking skills. To be a successful doctor both compassion and passion are required.

The session was very interactive. Children asked numerous questions regarding time management, stress and career choices and Dr. Raju took the time and patience to answer all the questions. In the end the Principal Mrs. Visalakshi shared her informative message.

Being a doctor means being a lifelong student, a healer, a symbol of hope.
