BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI MAITHILI SHARAN GUPT
Little Angels School, Ukkunagram celebrated the Birth Anniversary of the renowned Hindi poet Sri Maithili Sharan Gupt on 01/08/2025. In this connection an outdoor assembly programme was organised by the Hindi club 'Vangmayi'.
An article was read on the life history and the great works of the poet. A small skit ‘PANCHAVATI’ was presented by the students of class 6 and 7. An episode was depicted from the great Epic Ramayana. The characters of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita and Surpanakha were well- presented by the children.
A dance performance was presented by the students of class 10 on the poem ‘Charu Chandra ki Chanchal kirnen’ by the poet Maithili Sharan Gupt.
Principal Mrs. Visalakshi spoke on the occasion and praised the presentations by the students. She advised the students to read the works of eminent poets and authors to enrich their vocabulary, enhance their imagination and develop a love for language and literature.
